Kat Von D’s fans came to her defense after makeup artist Jeffree Star slammed the celebrity tattoo artist on Twitter early Tuesday morning. Star deleted the tweets, but not before Von D’s fans could preserve them forever through screen shots.

In her Instagram post, Von D essentially said she would not associate with Star because he’s a bully and a bad role model. Star then seemed to confirm her allegations when he said the tattooer couldn’t keep a man and that she was a “disgusting” person. “Now you all know why no man could ever stick around… What a dark and disgusting person,” he said about the raven-haired beauty. “I’m going to go back to reality now.”

In his next update, he slammed his new foe for using an old picture of him when she publicly ended their friendship through social media. “After 10 years of friendship, she decided to make a public post using a photo from nine years ago… Gross.”

Star surmised the reason Von D decided to post about him on Instagram was because she had nothing better to do. “I haven’t spoken with Kat in six months… She must be bored. I have no desire to waste my energy on another sad human.”

The tattoo artist didn’t respond to Star after her original post. She promised to release a video and further explain why she and Star are no longer on good terms. “After years of making excuses for, and rationalizing Jeffree's inappropriate behavior (including, promoting drug use, racism, and bullying) I can no longer hold my tongue after recent events,” she wrote. “I know that over the years, many of you were introduced to Jeffree through me, and regardless if you chose to continue to follow him or not, I just would like to disassociate myself from him and his brand from this point on.”
