Known for bringing “Linsanity” to the National Basketball Association (NBA), Taiwanese-American point guard Jeremy Lin has amassed a die-hard following in both U.S. and China during his NBA career.

Born to two Taiwanese immigrants, the undrafted Harvard alum's career spans nine seasons and several teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, Atlanta Hawks, Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, and the New York Knicks.

He also played for the Beijing Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association and the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League during the 2020-21 season.

In 2012, Lin got his big shot as a starter while playing for the Knicks, after his teammate Baron Davis got injured. At that time, he led the Knicks to seven straight wins and launched "Linsanity.”

“Linsanity” reportedly triggered a movement of pride among members of the Asian-American community that went far beyond sports.

For nine seasons, Lin earned around $65.750 million, as per Spotrac. To date, he is believed to posses a $36 million net worth, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

A documentary about Lin entitled “38 at the Garden,” will soon premiere on HBO.

The documentary film will primarily center on the former Knicks player's memorable scoring effort at the Madison Square Garden against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers in 2012.

Lin has not played in the NBA since 2019 after winning a championship with the Toronto Raptors.

In May 2021, he hinted at retirement after not receiving NBA offers.

"I didn't get it all done, but I have no regrets," Lin wrote. "I gave my all and hold my head high. As for what's next, I trust what God has in store for me … Thanks to everyone [who's] rolled with me on this journey. I love you all."
