  • A sexual assault case was filed by a fan against Horatio Sanz in 2021
  • A new complaint filed by the same plaintiff requests the court to add Jimmy Fallon and two others as defendants in the case
  • NBC is looking to discredit the lawsuit

Jimmy Fallon is now involved in the sexual assault case filed by a fan against "Saturday Night Live" star Horatio Sanz.

The plaintiff, known only as Jane Doe, has requested the court to include Fallon, Lorne Michaels and Tracy Morgan as additional defendants in the case, accusing them of enabling Sanz's sexual behavior.

The woman, who filed a lawsuit last year after Sanz allegedly groomed and groped her when she was a minor, filed a new complaint stating Fallon, Michaels, and Morgan should be added as defendants in the case, calling them Sanz's "enablers," Vanity Fair reported.

The original complaint filed in 2021 only named NBC Universal Media and SNL Studios as defendants, accusing them of knowing of Sanz's conduct and refusing to interfere.

In the new complaint, Doe claimed Fallon and Sanz would drink with her regularly during "SNL" after-parties between 2000 and 2002, despite knowing that she was only 15 to 17 at the time. She also claimed in May 2002, Morgan even rented out a space for an after-party, where Sanz groped her breasts, groped her buttocks, and penetrated her without her consent. She alleged Michaels was also at the party, and ignored the act, even giving her advice on pursuing a career in writing.

Legal documents stated the abuse by Sanz, and its condonation by Fallon, Michaels and Morgan has "dehumanized" Doe, and changed her life forever. "Jane suffered lifelong trauma as a result of Sanz's sexual abuse and all of those at NBC who enabled and condoned it," the documents read.

"She was profoundly dehumanized as her heroes stood and laughed at her while her teenage body was violated. She felt like she would never be the same. Her mental health and professional aspirations were entirely derailed."

Asked for comments on the new complaint, NBC told People it would once again discredit the claims. "Regardless of Jane Doe's changing narratives, NBC intends to renew its motion to dismiss."

Meanwhile, Fallon, Michaels, and Morgan's camps have yet to comment on their involvement in the case.
