Naomi Biden, President Joe Biden's granddaughter, is now engaged. The 27-year-old daughter of Hunter Biden with ex-wife Kathleen Buhle took to Instagram Wednesday to confirm she's tying the knot with her longtime beau, Peter Neal.

In her post, the president's granddaughter shared a selfie with her fiancé. She was wearing her big emerald-cut diamond engagement ring, which could be seen in the photo.

"Forever," she wrote in the caption, adding a white heart emoji.

The post has so far garnered more than 25,000 likes. Congratulatory messages from her followers also poured in, with many of them calling the pair "the royal couple."

"Congratulations! That's fantastic, you've found your soulmate," one commenter wrote.

"Cheers to this royal couple," another one noted.

Neal shared the same snap on his Instagram account, geotagging their location in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The town is a popular spot among vacationers, especially during the long Labor Day weekend. It is also where Neal's parents run a small medical business.

Naomi is the eldest of President Joe's seven grandchildren. She graduated from Columbia University's law school in 2020. Meanwhile, Neal is currently a law student at the University of Pennsylvania, where Naomi earned her undergraduate degree. The couple has been together since 2018.

Since President Joe's victory in 2020, Naomi has given interviews about her relationship with her grandfather on several occasions. In January, she revealed she was among those who encouraged him to run for president.

"We just kind of agreed that we had to sit my grandparents down face to face and tell them not only that we want them to run, but that we'll be OK if they do run," she said on NBC's Today Show.

Aside from being a staunch supporter of President Joe during the 2021 elections, she has also been actively involved in politics herself.

Months before her grandfather got elected, she and Neal created an online quiz that calculates the eligibility for federal relief under the CARES Act. When President Joe served as vice president of Barack Obama, she also joined him on his diplomatic trips in Turkey, New Zealand and China.
