Johnny Depp's former personal assistant has claimed that it was Amber Heard who put the actor through “years” of physical and verbal abuse.

Stephen Deuters, who has worked for Depp for 16 years as personal assistant, released a statement supporting the actor’s claims. Deuters revealed that he was furious when he found out Heard had filed for a restraining order against Depp when the actress was the real “abuser.”

“I, along with many others, was extremely surprised and outraged when this hit the press,” Deuters said in court documents obtained by Page Six.

“I knew that Ms. Heard was the abuser in the relationship and I was appalled that she would behave in this way.”

To support his point, Deuters said he never saw Heard injured when he was working for Depp. On the contrary, it was the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star who told him several times how Heard attacked him.

“At no point did Ms. Heard ever mention any physical abuse and I never saw evidence of any injury to Ms. Heard,” he continued. “In contrast, Mr. Depp told me on multiple occasions that Ms. Heard had attacked him or abused him physically and verbally.”

Deuters also took the stand on Monday and said that Depp regarded him as family. He also admitted that he is still financially dependent on Depp. He is currently the European president of Depp’s production company, Infinitum Nihil.

The Sun’s lawyer Sasha Wass suggested that Deuter’s “loyalty to him [Depp] has been rewarded.”

“If Mr. Depp or the brand is damaged professionally, you in turn are damaged financially,” Wass reiterated and Deuters acknowledged that it’s true.

Meanwhile, Heard’s unsent email back from 2013 was also brought to court. In her lengthy letter, the “Aquaman” star confessed that Depp hit her repeatedly when he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Heard also stated in her email that there were two sides of Depp “like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.”

“Half of you, I love. Madly. The other half scares me. I can’t take him. I wish I could, but I can’t,” Heard wrote.

Depp responded by calling it a “hoax.” He alleged that Heard was “building a dossier very early on that appears to be an insurance policy for later.”

Depp also admitted that he occasionally took drugs with Heard. However, he pointed out that those incidents “were not common occurrences.”
