Jonah Hill politely asked his 3.1 million Instagram followers Wednesday to stop making comments on his body as they make him uncomfortable.

"I know you mean well but I kindly ask that you not comment on my body ❤ good or bad," the 37-year-old actor wrote. "I want to politely let you know it's not helpful and doesn't feel good. Much respect."

Hill's request was well-received in the comments section, with many celebs and fans agreeing to his sentiments and showing him support.

Singer SZA commented, "Absolutely Love you. Thank you !!"

Meanwhile, actress Sharon Stone wrote, "Can I say you look good cuz u do."

Some fans also said it's unbelievable the actor still had to make such a request, implying everyone should understand that they are not supposed to comment on another person's body.

"I cannot believe you even need to say this still," one of them noted.

Another supporter chimed in, saying people should set their "boundaries" even on the Internet. In response to this comment, another fan wrote, "This is good advice for everyone!"

It wasn't the first time Hill made headlines for openly talking about his body. Earlier this year, the actor slammed a tabloid for sharing his photos, which were candidly taken while he was surfing in Malibu, California.

On his Instagram account, Hill shared a screenshot of the tabloid's headline along with a collage of his two pictures, one in which he wore a black wetsuit and another in which he was shirtless and explained in the caption how the media has been trying to body-shame him.

According to the actor, it took him a long time to finally have the confidence to take off his shirt in a pool, saying it could have taken place sooner "if my childhood insecurities weren't exacerbated by years of public mockery about my body by press and interviewers."

"So the idea that the media tries to play me by stalking me while surfing and printing photos like this and it can't phase me anymore is dope," he added. "I'm 37 and finally love and accept myself."

He further said it is neither a "good for me" nor a "feel bad for me" post. Instead, it's "for the kids who don't take their shirt off at the pool."

"Have fun. You're wonderful and awesome and perfect. All my love," he wrote, still addressing the kids, before throwing a shade at the tabloid by saying it couldn't "take that smile from my face."

On the work front, Hill will be seen in the star-studded comedy movie "Don't Look Up," which is slated for release on Dec. 10. Adam McKay's directorial venture also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Meryl Streep and Matthew Perry.

Hill will also feature in Kenya Barris' untitled comedy movie. The project is currently under pre-production.
