Pop star Justin Bieber's fans were surprised to see his image at the 2015 Country Music Television (CMT) Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday night. The “Boyfriend” singer made a special appearance via a short video clip played at the award ceremony before country singer Luke Bryan went onstage to accept his award.

Bieber and “Late Late Show” host James Corden appeared in the video, where the two professed their love for Bryan. "Why are you going to the CMT Music Awards?" a nonplused Corden asks Bieber, according to People magazine. Corden meanwhile pretended to be a driver for "Guuber," a fake Nashville version of the car service Uber. "Want me to be honest with you? I love Luke Bryan," Bieber replies. Corden and Bieber then gush over the “hot,” good-looking, country music heartthrob Bryan.

"I get lost in his eyes like they're pools of the ocean," Corden says before the duo burst into an ardent sing-along version of Bryan’s hit song “Country Girl.”

Shortly after the video aired, Bryan was called onstage to accept the award for Male Video of the Year. The “That's My Kind Of Night” singer responded to the compliments in his own way. "Yeah, Bieber loves me," Bryan said.

Meanwhile, the award night belonged to Carrie Underwood, who took home three awards, including Female Video of the Year for "Something In the Water" and Collaborative Video of the Year with Miranda Lambert for their hit "Somethin' Bad." Underwood now holds more total awards than any other artist in the award show's history, with 13.

Other CMT winners were Lady Antebellum (Group Video of the Year, for "Bartender"); Florida Georgia Line (Duo Video of the Year, for "Dirt"); Miranda Lambert with Carrie Underwood (Collaborative Video of the Year, for "Somethin' Bad”). The CMT Performance of the Year award went to Bob Seger and Jason Aldean for "Turn the Page,” while the Breakthrough Video of the Year went to newcomer Sam Hunt for "Leave the Night On.” Check out the video below.
