Kate Middleton shares a special rapport with children, which was made evident during her recent visit to the King Henry’s Walk Garden.

While there, the Duchess of Cambridge was photographed talking to the youngsters. At one point, one of the kids made the mom of three laughed when she asked if Queen Elizabeth II eats pizza. Middleton revealed that she has no idea if Her Majesty eats the popular food.

“You know, that’s such a good question. I don’t know… maybe next time I see her, shall I ask?” Middleton playfully told 8-year-old Nadirah.

Middleton’s rapport with children is something that the late Queen Mother also had. In the 2005 Amazon Prime documentary “Her Majesty the Queen Mother 1900-2002,” the narrator said that the Queen Mother had a special connection with children.

During her birthday celebrations, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon received tons of posies, cakes, and gifts because she was well loved. And even in the 1970s until the 1990s, she had the busiest diaries in the royal family. Every time Queen Mother was out in public, she would be photographed talking and laughing with the young royal fans.

Middleton has also been doing the exact same thing for years. Other than her interactions with children, the Duchess of Cambridge is also known for her work on child support and children’s mental health. Some of the charities that she is a patron of are Action for Children, Ann Freud National Center for Children and Families, and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

The Duchess of Cambridge has three children, which means that she has enough practice when it comes to properly treat youngsters. During her outing, she told the royal fans that her kids would be jealous when they find out that she made pizza without them.

In related news, Queen Mother has also been credited for paving the way for today’s royals to be less formal and strict when out in public. Queen Elizabeth II’s mom had a more relaxed attitude and endearing formality when she was still alive because she wanted to make the monarchy more accessible to non-royals.
