Duchess Kate Middleton is pregnant, but fans of the British royal family shouldn’t expect her and husband Prince William to reveal they’re expecting more than just one baby. The rumor that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be welcoming twins has just been shut down.

Following a report released by Life & Style Magazine which claimed Kate is pregnant with not one, but two children, Gossip Cop has gotten to the bottom of the report.

The rumor began when the tabloid reported that a “palace insider” had shared that Kate and William are expecting identical twins and will soon be a “soon be a family of six” with their son Prince George, 4, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 2.

“Kate and William were both shocked when they found out,” a source told the magazine. The report also stated that the pair had discovered they are welcoming two girls and that Kate had filled in her mother Carole and sister, Pippa Middleton, on the big news.

“Kate and William haven’t decided on names yet,” continued the report. “They don’t plan to coordinate them to start with the same letter or rhyme.” The article also stated the names “Victoria, Alice, Olivia, Alexandra and Elizabeth” as potential picks.

While the story will likely thrill fans of the royal family, Gossip Cop reports that Kensington Palace denied the validity of the article. The site shared that when asked, the palace pointed out a statement released on Twitter last week which stated the Duchess is expecting a “baby” this spring, not babies.

This isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has denied the accuracy of a story about Middleton from Life & Style. Just last week the site’s source discredited a report from the magazine which claimed Queen Elizabeth II was upset after William revealed to her that Middleton had a desire to lessen her royal duties in favor of being a more doting mother.

“A royal source close to the situation assures Gossip Cop the report is ‘not true,’ as Prince William and Queen Elizabeth did not have a ‘major fight’ over Middleton’s royal duties,” the site wrote. “While it’s true the Duchess of Cambridge took some well-deserved time off after being struck down with severe morning sickness, she is gradually returning to the spotlight with a number of public appearances.”
