Kate Middleton lookalike Hannah Northedge committed suicide last year after suffering from worsening mental health.

Northedge, 43, was reportedly in so much pain after becoming convinced that she had an undiagnosed terminal illness. In fact, she asked her mother to take her to a hospice but did not want to discuss her mental health, The Sun reported.

A number of doctors and specialists repeatedly assured her that she would be fine, but she disappeared from her South East London home in May last year and took her own life days after. She left a suicide note stating that she was struggling with pain that the doctors were unable to diagnose.

According to Senior Coroner for East Sussex Alan Craze, Northedge received exceptional care, but her mental disorder had been worsening. “She clearly was suffering from a rapidly increasing mental disorder with an inability to accept the physical evidence there wasn’t anything wrong with her,” Craze said.

In her letter, Northedge revealed that it was very terrifying for her to be questioned by a team of psychiatrists asking her to prove her symptoms. “I don’t have a psychiatric illness, end of,” she wrote.

The Duchess of Cambridge is an active advocate of mental health along with her husband, Prince William, and brother-in-law, Prince Harry. The trio has been campaigning for mental health in the past years.

On Tuesday, Middleton visited Lavender Primary School in Enfield in support of the children’s charity Place2Be’s Mental Health Week. During the visit, she shared an intimate detail about her.

Middleton showed a family picture to the children and admitted that her family makes her happy. She also asked them if they enjoy spending time with their family and what they like doing with them.

In related news, Middleton hosted a private dinner at the Queen’s official London home, Buckingham Palace, on Wednesday. The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly did it as a patron of the Royal Foundation. However, the other patrons, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge were reportedly not present.

On the same day, Prince William had a solo engagement. The duke visited Mental Health Innovations at Phoenix Brewery. Prince Charles’ sons love a good pint at the local pub, so Prince William’s visit was probably a fun one.
