Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton reportedly do not get along with each other, and their rift doesn't surprise some royal experts.

According to royal author Robert Jobson, there's definitely some tension between the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex. However, he said he believes that the two don't necessarily need to get on with each other.

"There is definitely tension going on there at the moment," Jobson said. "Do the two women get on - why should they? They are just married to the two brothers."

According to Prince Charles' biographer, Middleton and Markle are at different stages in their lives, so it's understandable if they don't get along well in some matters. Their different backgrounds may also play a role in their differences.

"One has got three kids the other one is just married. One is American, one is from a very middle-class English family," Jobson explained.

Also, now that Prince William and Prince Harry are both married and have a growing family, their separation is expected. He believes that it's just perfectly natural for Prince Charles' sons to divide their resources and not be seen as one big unit.

Prior to Markle's addition to the royal family, Prince Harry worked closely with Prince William and his sister-in-law. In fact, their combined efforts earned them the moniker "royal trio." Things then changed when Markle arrived.

"The arrival of Meghan has changed the dynamic of the relationship in a fairly significant way," royal author Sally Bedell Smith told People. "It is inevitable and practical because it gives Harry and Meghan some freedom to build up their own collection of interests and charities."

"Meghan has very strong views on what she is interested in and that may be what, Harry, shares, but not what William and Kate share," Bedell added.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are moving out of Kensington Palace because they reportedly don't want to live next to Prince William and Middleton. The palace have already confirmed Prince Harry and Markle's move to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor early next year.

According to reports, the couple decided to leave because there was tension between them and Prince William. However, another insider claimed that it was Middleton and Markle who have issues as they don't get along well with each other.
