Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are often compared to Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson, but experts don't think that these four women are the same in terms of their relationships with each other.

Robert Jobson and Princess Diana's former protection officer, Ken Wharfe, shared their opinions about the four royals. According to them, the two sisters-in-law are not similar. "I think [Kate and Meghan] are two individuals with very engaging characters and so far apart," Wharfe said (via Express). "It seems to me that Kate has mastered the royal life, I think time is still available to find out whether Meghan can cope with this because it is a huge life change, living within royalty."

Jobson agreed that the comparison with Princess Diana and Ferguson's relationship was unfounded. "They're just two women married to two princes. I don't really [think there is a similarity]," Jobson said.

"Fergie and Diana – until the last year of her life – were very good friends. In fact, Diana bought Fergie into the royal family, they had a real laugh and were friends," he added.

According to the Evening Standard royal correspondent, the main difference between Middleton and Markle and Princess Diana and Ferguson are their attitude towards the royal life. The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex took to it naturally, while the late Princess of Wales and the Duchess of York were "hopeless" to begin with.

Princess Diana and Ferguson were best friends when the former was still alive. In fact, they were seen in several events chatting and laughing with each other. They were so close that they never minded acting like kids even in front of the photographers, which reportedly irritated Prince Charles.

The Prince of Wales apparently found Princess Diana and Ferguson's behavior to be "too much" as he believed that there should be a strict "limit to how royals should behave in front of the public."

Unfortunately, Princess Diana and Ferguson had a falling out. On the other hand, Middleton and Markle looked amicable when they stepped out together at Wimbledon without their husbands but recently, the two were reported to have had a rift.

According to an insider, Middleton and Markle couldn't get along well. "Kate and Meghan are very different people," the source said. "They don’t really get on."
