Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's net worth has not been publicized by the royal family, but there is no denying that the two duchesses were already making their own money before marrying Prince William and Prince Harry.

According to the Evening Standard, Markle was reportedly earning a six-figure salary while starring as Rachel Zane in the USA Network series, "Suits," prior to getting engaged with Prince Harry. The actress-turned-duchess reportedly also made money by running her lifestyle blog, The Tig, which she started in 2014. By the time she ended her side career as a blogger, Markle was reportedly earning over £61,000 ($81,000) a year from her blog.

Celebrity Net Worth reported that she had raked in around $5 million by the time she retired as an actress.

Markle's husband, Prince Harry, meanwhile, is reportedly worth £30 million ($40 million) like Prince William. Prince Charles' youngest son inherited a massive amount from his mom Princess Diana, but he also receives a salary from the Duchy of Cornwall, 53,000 hectares of land in 23 counties, which was created by Edward III in 1337 "to provide an income for his son, Prince Edward," according to Time.

He and older brother Prince William reportedly got 75 percent of their late mother's £21 million ($28 million) fortune.

In addition, he and Prince William reportedly also inherited £7 million ($9.3 million) each from the Queen Mother. In 1994, Queen Elizabeth II's mother put two-thirds of her estimated £70 million ($93.2 million) fortune into a trust fund for her great-grandchildren, according to the BBC.

Prince Harry also earned a considerable sum from his time working for the Royal Air Force. He was an active officer from 2005 to 2015, and during this time, he was paid £40,000 ($53,000) a year, Forbes reported.

Middleton, meanwhile, reportedly has an estimated net worth of £5 million ($7 million), according to global wealth-tracking firm Wealth-X, though others claimed she is worth as much as £7.3 million ($10 million). Prior to marrying Prince William, she worked for her parents' business, Party Pieces, which is estimated to be worth £37 million ($49.2 million).

She and husband Prince William, who has the same net worth as his younger brother, reportedly have an estimated joint net worth of £37 million ($49.2 million), narrowly surpassing Prince Harry and Markle's $43.9 million combined wealth.

Aside from his inherited wealth, Prince William also earned a considerable salary as a helicopter pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Before his retirement in 2017, the eldest son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana was paid £50,000 ($66,500) a year, which he donated to charity.

Prince William retired as a pilot to focus on his royal duties, and nowadays, he and his wife have been busy with their charities and royal engagements.
