The palace already has shot down rumors of Kate Middleton’s alleged second pregnancy once this week, but that hasn’t stopped Life & Style from reporting that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby girl.

According to a report from the tabloid’s Aug. 4 issue, Middleton, 32, is reportedly prepping to welcome her second child with Britain’s Prince William, a child which she is rumored to be hoping will be a princess.

“She feels different this time around. [She] is convinced she’s having a girl,” a palace insider said of Middleton in the magazine’s cover feature, “Kate And William’s Baby Joy: It’s A Girl!"

Middleton is reportedly yearning for a girl her second time around after welcoming her son, Prince George, last July, and insiders say “William is also eager to have a daughter.”

Despite Kensington Palace shooting down rumors circulated by Middleton’s former friend, Jessica Hay, who stated on live television earlier this month that the couple would announce their impending second child “in weeks," Life & Style reports that the duo are already in full baby planning mode — even making a new nursery for their second child.

“Kate has already purchased a closet full of little pink dresses and other outfits for her new princess,” reads the report. “[She] is sparing no expense furnishing the nursery with a modern crib, traditional rocking chair and an electric mix of furnishings.”

Similar to Middleton's first pregnancy, which caused her to need medical care after suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute form of morning sickness, in 2012, insiders claim the duchess is once again noticing similar health issues.

“She’s lost a lot of weight like she did at the start of her pregnancy with George,” said an insider, a separate source adding, “Kate is way beyond exhausted.”

Despite her reported pregnancy-related illness, Clarence House announced Monday that the duchess is scheduled to fulfill her royal duties by visiting Malta in honor of the 50th anniversary of its independence in two months. “The Duchess of Cambridge will visit Malta on 20th and 21st September 2014 on behalf of the queen,” the palace confirmed.

Fortunately for fans of Middleton and Prince William's brood, the duchess is rumored to have plans to welcome a third child into their royal family. “They want three children eventually,” a source noted.

The royal family is currently celebrating the first birthday of His Royal Highness Prince George. According to the palace, Middleton and Prince William are expecting to be joined by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry at Kensington Palace Tuesday to commemorate the anniversary of the young heir's arrival.
