Kate Middleton and Prince William behaved just like any married couple when they shot their 10th wedding anniversary photos earlier this year, according to a royal photographer.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who tied the knot in 2011 in a lavish ceremony, marked one decade of marriage back in April with new portraits.

The photographer who captured their wedded bliss, Chris Floyd, has shared new details about Prince William and Middleton's photoshoot during an interview with Us Weekly, including how in sync they were that day.

"I would say that they were just like any married couple," he told the outlet. "They were just like any married couple who seemed to just love being very happy in each other’s company. It was that straightforward."

He added, "I just said, 'Look, this is your 10th anniversary, just be the couple that you are with each other and forget that I'm here. And just forget about me.' They don’t need me to tell them how to be with each other."

Floyd captured the playful side of the future king and queen in his pictures. In one shot, Prince William and Middleton can be seen sitting side-by-side, with the duke gently resting his hand on his wife's thigh and gazing lovingly into her eyes. Duchess Kate, meanwhile, wove her fingers between her husband's as she looked off into the distance with an easy smile.

In the second picture, the couple embraced each other as they posed outside of their Kensington Palace home. Middleton leaned her head into her husband's chest as he wrapped his arm around her waist.

The anniversary photos, which were shared on the Kensington Palace Instagram account in April, received praise from their followers, who agreed that the photographer captured their love perfectly.

"Beautiful! You can see the love," one royal fan commented.

"They look so in love after 10 years," another wrote.

Floyd also spoke about getting to capture Prince William and Middleton in their home. According to him, the day he spent at the couple's home "was the same as going to someone else’s house," only that the Cambridges' was a "slightly grander version" of most residences.

"It was their home and I was made to feel welcome in their home. … I have to say like by the time I left that day I felt like I’d known them for years. It was just a real whirlwind of a day," the photographer noted.

Prince William and Middleton exchanged vows on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey in London. Earlier this year, they returned to the venue where they tied the knot, which has been transformed into a vaccination site amid the pandemic.

Following their wedding, the duke and duchess went on to welcome three kids: Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3.
