Prince George and Princess Charlotte looked bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as they attended their first day of school last week. Their parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, looked delighted as well, but school wasn't always a happy place for Kate.

Before the 37-year-old attended the University of St Andrew's with Prince William, she boarded at Marlborough College. Unlike St Andrew's, where she probably shares fond memories with her now-husband, her time at Marlborough wasn't as great of a time for the future Duchess of Cambridge.

“Despite her natural prepotency for academia, Kate gained a master degree in the history of art," Kate Thornton told Yahoo's Royal Box, according to Express. “She too struggled in her early school years, and during her time at Marlborough college was bullied for being shy."

Naturally having experienced bullying, Kate might wonder how her children are getting along at school, but based on Princess Charlotte's nickname, she and her big brother Prince George will probably be alright.

And, no, it's not the nickname Lottie, short for Charlotte, that's tough. The 4-year-old, whose full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, has also been dubbed The Warrior Princess.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl shared with Entertainment Tonight, "The other nickname that she had when she was at Willcocks Nursery, which was up until just before the summer, was The Warrior Princess and I’m wondering if that might be a nickname that will stick with her.”
