Kate Middleton has been dubbed as someone who is down to earth by a British actress. But while the Duchess of Cambridge was praised, Meghan Markle was once again criticized.

While speaking with OK! magazine (via Daily Mail), “Downton Abbey” star Michelle Dockery recounted the time when she met the mom of three. It was in 2015 and Middleton visited the set of the hit series.

“She watched the filming of a scene between me and Joanne Froggatt, who plays Anna, which was nerve-wracking. She met everyone from the drivers to the caterers and the actors; she was wonderful,” Dockery said.

The actress, who plays the role of Lady Mary Crawley, also said that she’s a huge fan of the royal family. Even though she has not had the chance to visit the Buckingham Palace, she’s always excited to hear news about the British clan.

Meanwhile, if celebrities have good things to say about Prince William’s wife, it seems that the same cannot be expected from Prince Harry’s spouse. The Duchess of Sussex was recently slammed by “60 Minutes” host Karl Stefanovic.

During his interview with Katie Hopkins, Stefanovic asked the conservative British commentator if her dislike for Markle is fueled by racism. Former palace aide Patrick Jephson said that Stefanovic’s question was entirely misleading and controversial.

“It’s irrelevant and I would warn against anybody taking that line as any sort of explanation as to why Meghan sometimes doesn’t get the press she necessarily wants,” Jephson said. “If you take that point of view then you’re going to miss perhaps some more relevant reasons to why Meghan isn’t as popular as she should be,” he added.

This is not the first time that Markle was criticized publicly. Throughout the past couple of weeks, she and Prince Harry have been slammed for every single thing that they have done.

The royal couple was criticized for hiding their son from the public. And they were also slammed for taking a private jet to Nice and Ibiza.
