Princess Madeleine of Sweden recently twinned with Kate Middleton in one of her Christmas ensembles.

On Monday, Princess Madeleine, the youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, stepped out with her husband Christopher O'Neill and their three children to participate in a royal tradition: receiving the official Christmas trees for the royal palace in Stockholm.

In a video shared by the Swedish royal family on Instagram, Princess Madeleine rocked a black turtleneck and red tartan skirt with a bow tied around her waist. Meanwhile, Princess Madeleine's daughters, Princess Leonor and Princess Adrienne, wore matching green dresses for the occasion.

Princess Madeleine's look appeared similar to the outfit worn by the Duchess of Cambridge when she joined husband Prince William at a Christmas party celebrating military families whose loved ones were away for the holiday in 2018, People reported.

For her ensemble, Middleton opted for a pleated red and green tartan midi piece by Emilia Wickstead. The royal mom of three paired it with a black button-down cardigan by Brora that she wore like a blouse. Both ladies completed their looks with black boots.

Social media users gave Princess Madeleine's outfit a thumbs up in the comments section of the Instagram video.

"I love Princess Madeleine’s outfit," one Instagram user commented.

"The skirt!!!" another wrote with three stars.

"What an amazing outfit on Princess Madeleine," a third user wrote.

Meanwhile, it remains unclear whether the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be able to spend Christmas with Queen Elizabeth II after the monarch changed her holiday plans amid the COVID-19 surge across the U.K. The Queen opted to stay in Windsor Castle instead of heading to Sandringham Estate this year.

Except for last year, when she had to cancel her Christmas trip due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Queen usually travels to her estate in Norfolk, England, in late December and stays there until after Feb. 6 — the date her father King George VI died and she succeeded him nearly 70 years ago.

Prince William, Middleton and their children will be spending the holidays in their home in Norfolk near Sandringham estate, so if Her Majesty is staying in London, the Cambridges might not be able to join her for the holidays, according to royal expert Kerene Barefield, executive producer of True Royal TV's "The Royal Beat."

"I understand from sources that there could be a Christmas at Windsor this year, if things change," she told Us Weekly. "That will be further away from them than if they’re in Sandringham, [which is] just a stone’s throw [away from Norfolk]. So yeah, they may not [attend], if it’s at Windsor."
