Things are a little strange between Katy (Lucy Hale) and KO (Zane Holtz). But Katy decides to celebrate the perfect Valentine’s Day. In the new “Riverdale” spinoff “Katy Keene” Season 1 episode 3, KO wants to something for his roommate.

The new promo of “Katy Keene” Season 1 episode 3 starts off with titular character announcing that she will have the best Valentine’s Day. But Gloria (Katherine LaNasa) tells her that she is working on the day. Katy lies to KO about Gloria making her work and this might become a problem for them.

Meanwhile, Jorge (Jonny Beauchamp) is in a romantic relationship, but he wants to keep it a secret. When he doesn’t turn up for his performance at Molly’s crisis, he realizes what he wants to do.

Elsewhere, Pepper (Julia Chan) meets an old friend, Ms. Freesia (Bernadette Peters). She seeks monetary help from Ms. Freesia. But Pepper is unhappy about her approach. The promo shows Katy and her friends planning Valentine’s Day dinner party but things are likely to turn sideways.

“Katy Keene” is set five years post “Riverdale,” and revolves around Katy’s dream of becoming a fashion designer in New York City. She lives with her roommates Pepper, Josie and Jorge.

“With everything a little off between Katy and KO, Katy tries to make everything perfect for Valentine's Day, so she can avoid what she is truly feeling including lying to him about Gloria making her work. KO tries to do something nice for the roommates but only seems to make things worse. Josie and Alexander have been growing closer, but after she meets another aspiring songwriter, Josie realizes it's time to change up their dynamic.”

“Katy Keene” Season 1 Episode 3 is scheduled to hit the airwaves on Thursday, Feb. 20 on The CW. The episode is titled “What Becomes of the Broken Hearted.”
