Kim Kardashian is opening up about her public divorce from Kanye West.

Tensions rose between the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" alum and the Grammy winner after she began dating Pete Davidson in late October last year, months after she filed for divorce from West in February 2021. In recent months, a back-and-forth on social media played out between Kardashian and West after the rapper criticized his estranged wife's TikTok rules and alleged co-parenting restrictions.

Kardashian revealed in a new interview on Dear Media's "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast that in the months between her divorce filing and the beginning of her relationship with Davidson, she and West had temporarily stopped speaking.

"We went off and on. You know, we went about eight months without even speaking to each other at the beginning of the divorce. And then we started talking again and I went to the 'Donda' premiere," Kardashian said. "I mean, he would still see the kids and stuff. He and I just took a minute of not talking. And I think in relationships, it'll be like that. I hope we, you know, are the co-parenting goals at the end of the day."

Kardashian — who shares kids North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2, with West — reflected on her own parents' divorce, saying it also took Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian "a minute to readjust" after ending their marriage of over 10 years. She noted that the only difference between her situation with West and her parents' divorce was the kind of platform she is on now.

The reality star also seemingly addressed West's social media tirades against her, her family and Davidson in recent months, saying: "...it doesn't mean that maybe because [Kanye] expressed himself in a certain way that he's not an amazing person and amazing friend. I do believe that we'll have that again. I'm always really hopeful."

Kardashian said she and her estranged husband still "have so much love for each other."

"We really do. We're always family, we're always going to have so much love and we love our kids," she continued. "We both love the time we spent together. You know, I think that we'll always have that and always cherish that. Sometimes it just doesn't work out for whatever reasons, but no matter what, I always just think of like the positive times."

Kardashian made similar comments last week when she opened up to Robin Roberts about their divorce in an ABC special.

While the Skims mogul admitted that it has not been easy taking the high road in recent months, she said that she champions West "speaking his truth."

"Kanye and I have had conversations. We have to talk daily for the kids so you know, I hate that it had to play out like that. But when it comes to family, I mean, Kanye and I will always be family," she said.

Earlier this month, an unnamed Kardashian family source told Page Six that the "Donda" artist told his estranged wife that he will stop harassing her and cyberbullying the "Saturday Night Live" star. West also said that he will "go away to get better," the insider said.

"At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is and focused on raising their beautiful children," a rep for West said in a statement to Page Six at the time.
