Kardashian represent! They called the “KUWTK” star Kim Kardashian as a true criminal justice warrior because of her passion and compassion that inspired the world to open their eyes and understand the humanity of those incarcerated.

Kardashian went to DC Jail in Washington, as speaker, to discuss the Georgetown University Prisons & Justice Initiative. Following the event, the program’s official Twitter account (@guprisonjustice) tweeted a message of gratitude for the “KUWTK” actress.

Dr. Marc Howard, professor in Washington, DC, called Kardashian as an extraordinary woman. He uploaded a snap of him and the 38-year-old American actress on his Twitter account (@marcmhoward) and captioned it with the events that transpired during Kardashian’s visit. He said that they talked about Criminal Justice reform in the morning and went to DC jail in the afternoon.

Kardashian responded to their tweets, saying that the program was life-changing and urged that every prison needed it. The “KUWTK” actress also thanked Dr. Howard and told him he was a blessing to the inmates.

DC Department of Corrections (@DCCorrections) expressed their gratitude for Kardashian’s time in visiting the Correctional Treatment Facility, for sharing her knowledge and engaging with them.

The Correctional Treatment Facility that Kardashian went to inhabited men and women waiting for trial or serving short sentences, as well preparing those who would return to their communities after being incarcerated for a long period.

Georgetown University’s Prisons and Justice Initiative began in 2016, while the Georgetown Prison Scholars Program at the DC Jail commenced in January, 2018. The Scholar’s Program signifies the Georgetown's Prisons and Justice Initiative and the DC Department of Corrections partnership.

Kardashian’s advocacy is reportedly supported by President Donald Trump. She’s been to the White House various times to discuss issues on Criminal Justice Reform. In fact, a report from The Hollywood Report stated that Kardashian had successfully lobbied to the President the pardon of Alice Marie Johnson, who was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole due to drug offenses.

The report further specified that, according to the recent data of the U.S. Sentencing Commission, the legislation had helped reduced the sentences of more than a thousand federal prisoners.

A few weeks ago, people learned that Kardashian will star in a 2-hour documentary show, “Kim Kardashian: The Justice Project.” The show will premiere in Oxygen and will follow the activist’s journey in helping Americans who, in her belief, received injustice, E! News reported.

Kardashian’s documentary will reportedly show exclusives on America’s most scandalous subjects.
