Kristen Bell and her husband, Dax Shepard, recently created what they call a “tag team” parenting style with their two kids.

While speaking with People, the “Frozen” voice actress revealed that she and Shepard switch kids all the time. “Because if I’m talking to the 2 ½-year-old, and I’m done, I’ll just be like, ‘We got to switch. I don’t want to talk to this kid anymore,’” she said.

Bell and Shepard are parents to Lincoln, 4, and Delta, 2. And the doting parents came up with the “tag team” parenting style to make sure that both of their kids get the attention they deserve.

“You don’t want to be reactive to your kids. You want to be thoughtful, and you want to be setting a good example. Sometimes that example is crying in front of them and saying, ‘I’m overwhelmed,’ or ‘I’m sad because XYZ,’ or ‘I’m just sad because I’m feeling sad. I’m going to let my sad out. And then I’m going to find a way to cheer myself up,’” she said.

And in order to not be reactive all the time – or at all – Bell and Shepard alternate with taking care of their kids all the time. But between her and her husband, Bell admitted that she’s more of a “pushover,” while Shepard’s parenting game has always been “impressive.”

“I’m not shocked at how good Dax’s parenting is, because he’s very familiar with how the human brain works. I have trouble staying one step ahead of my kids. He does not,” she shared.

Meanwhile, the “A Bad Mom’s Christmas” star also shared the most difficult part of motherhood and for her, it’s the lack of sleep. “I think that fuels everything. It fuels my lack of patience with my kids sometimes. If I had a full night’s rest, I would be able to be more patient with them sometimes,” she admitted.

Bell and Shepard welcomed Lincoln on March 28, 2013. On his Twitter account, Shepard said that their daughter looked exactly like Bell. Delta, on the other hand, was born on Dec. 19, 2014, according to US Weekly.
