  • Bell and Hansen first worked together on "Veronica Mars" in 2004

Kristen Bell took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a sweet note appreciating actor Ryan Hansen on his 40th birthday.

The 40-year-old actress recalled working with Hansen in 2004's Mystery television series, "Veronica Mars" and how they became friends in real life.

"I have known @hiryanhansen since we were baby people. He was my arch-nemesis on Veronica Mars, but became my Best Friend in real life," she wrote in the caption along with a series of throwback photos featuring Hansen and Bell dancing and posing together.

After working on "Veronica Mars," they also became roommates and "self-proclaimed brothers," the actress further wrote. She reminisced about hanging out with Hansen almost every day as they "love hanging out together."

The "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" star also noted that the duo had worked together on various projects as they "love" working together. However, she noted it was awkward shooting a sex scene with him.

"Though I’ll admit it was awkward when I had to shoot a simulated sex scene with him on the DAY I got married after his WIFE had JUST been my witness at the courthouse but WORK IS WERK ya know?!" she explained.

"He makes me laugh so much and he once spent my birthday with a cardboard cutout version of me when he couldn’t spend it with me," Bell wrote as she added those cardboard cutout photos in the post. "He is The Godfather to my kids, and 1/2 of my super spouses."

"To say I LOVE having him in my life is an understatement," she noted. "I simply would not be the person I am today without his friendship and the people he has brought into my life. I love you brother. Thanks for being born. HBD."

At the end of the post, she urged fans to check out the "Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes On Television" series and "Good On Paper," the newly released movie on Netflix.

On the work front, the actress will be next seen in the comedy movie, "Queenpins," which is slated to release on Sept. 10, 2021. The movie will also star Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Paul Walter Hauser, Bebe Rexha, and Leslie Jones in key roles.
