La La Anthony Talks Possible Reconciliation With Husband Carmelo Amid NBA Trade Rumors

La La Anthony opened up about her split from New York Knicks player Carmelo Anthony during a stint on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” Sunday. Even though she admitted that “marriage is tough,” it seemed unlikely that she would divorce the NBA star. That doesn’t mean they’re getting back together, though.

The question came about when a fan called in and asked if she and Anthony were on speaking terms and if there were any chance of them getting back together.

“Listen, I’ve said it a million times,” La La, 38, started. “Marriage is tough anyone will tell you that. Ups and downs and all kind of crazy stuff. We are doing well. We have a beautiful 10-year-old and that’s our focus. Being great parents to our son Kiyan.”

When host Andy Cohen noted they’re co-parenting and speaking, La La jokingly shouted back, “We have a child! Of course we speak to each other.”

When it comes to reconciliation, La La said, “Hey, anything can happen.”

Rumors swirled that Anthony might leave the Knicks, and the “Power” host confirmed that was an option. “That is a real possibility,” she said. “So we’ll see what happens. I’m watching like everyone else. ‘Cause every day it’s like a different team.”

She added: “My hope is that he ends up somewhere where’s he’s happy and he can win because he’s such an incredible player and he deserves to win.”

It’s not the first time La La opened up about a possibility reconciliation. The topic came up when she was on “The Wendy Williams” show Tuesday.

“Not right now. You know marriages are tough … it’s filled with ups and downs. We are just going through a time right now,” La La told Williams. “Him and I are the best of friends and our No. 1 commitment is to our son Kiyan, and we have to set an example for Kiyan and that's what's most important to me.”

Last week, Anthony took to Instagram to wish his estranged wife a happy birthday. “I look at you on this birthday, and it is hard to believe another year has passed. You are as beautiful now as ever before!!! Sending Birthday wishes to MY EARTH @lala Love YOU,” he wrote. The post was liked more than 95,000 times by his 5.2 million followers.

Amid her split from Anthony, La La admitted she was working on her health and fitness. “Just focusing more on just myself. It’s summer time. All women like to turn it up in the summer, work out and eat healthy. I’ve just been following a good plan,” she said.
