Lady Gaga announced Thursday that she will be starring in the next “Joker” sequel film, “Joker: Folie a Deux.”

“Folie a Deux” is a phrase that refers to a “shared delusional disorder.” It is unclear if Lady Gaga will be playing Harley Quinn and it is also unclear what other character the Joker would have a “shared disorder” with. The Joker, a supervillain in the Batman comic books, will again be played by Joaquin Phoenix, Variety reported.

“Joker: Folie a Deux 10.04.24,” Lady Gaga simply revealed in a tweet, which announced that the film will be released in October 2024.

Lady Gaga's post also shows the video teaser, which plays the song “Cheek to Cheek.” She has famously covered this song in her music career with singer Tony Bennett.

Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, has starred in some films alongside her music career including “A Star Is Born” and “House of Gucci.” Her performance in “A Star is Born" earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in 2019.

In 2020, Phoenix won Best Actor for the first Joker film.

The news of Lady Gaga appearing in the next Joker installment comes after a report Wednesday that police re-arrested James Howard Jackson, 19, the alleged gunman wanted in connection with the shooting of Lady Gaga's dog walker.
