Lamar Odom and Sabrina Parr got candid about their former romance a year after they broke up.

Odom and Parr recently weighed in on their "toxic" relationship in separate Instagram posts. Both of them said they're in a better place after they called it quits.

"A year ago today, I officially walked away from my ex-fiancé. I did not tell a soul (not even him); I just left! I knew the more I continued to talk about my unhappiness, the more I would stay comfortable being in it," Parr wrote while sharing the cover of her book "The Freedom in Walking Away." "We were less than a year away from getting married. I was scared, hurt, and unsure of the outcome, but I knew if I stayed, I would never be free."

Parr also spoke about walking away from her 9-5 job and leaving her abusive husband. According to her, "I've had to walk away from so many things and people to regain my peace."

She added that leaving her ex was one of the hardest things she had to do. She then noted that she discussed more of the truth in that situation in her book.

She also said that her book would help other people regain their life and discover their new peace.

"I'm genuinely excited to open up to all of you and bring you on this journey with me. It's time to get free! It's time to find peace, and I hope to help you achieve that once you’ve read this book," she concluded her post.

Meanwhile, Odom also broke his silence on their failed relationship an hour after Parr's post. However, according to him, he was the one who left Parr.

"A year ago yesterday I left my ex-ffiancée at the W Hotel in Atlanta without notice. When she realized I was gone back to my home in San Diego she was livid," he wrote. "I received over 250 calls and text messages over the course of last December from her wanting to fix us. We were toxic. Independently and collectively."

For his part, Khloe Kardashian's ex-husband explained why the relationship was draining him and why he chose to stay for a bit even if it was already destructive.

"Leaving broke my heart but saved my soul. The relationship was abusive. Many times I wanted to go back because the dysfunction in me was addicted to the abuse. The addict in me hated being alone, the man in me wanted a pretty face to wake up to, it was hard," he added. "Late nights and early mornings alone wears on a brother. I sought solace in marijuana and a slew of random women, not loving any of them, not really wanting to be with any of them, but it beat being lonely."

Odom said he and his team worked hard for his fresh start. He then declared himself free. He was free from drugs, marijuana and his past relationship. Odom added that he was rebuilding himself and was focusing on his faith.
