With “The Last of Us 2” just months away from launching, Sony is making all the stops to ensure its promotion. The game will launch with a limited PS4 Pro bundle that includes a PS4 controller with a unique TLOU2 design along with a digital voucher for online goodies.

The game sequel will arrive with the uniquely-designed PS4 Pro, Gamespot reported citing Sony's statement. It will feature a matte finish and will also be engraved with the design of Ellie’s tattoo. This design will also be found on the controller, along with the logo engraved on the touchpad. The bundle will be available for $400. For those who only want the controller, it will also be in the market for $65.

The team behind the launch of the game said that a few ideas were considered, but it always came back down to Ellie’s tattoo. It was clear that the tattoo was a designated “symbol” for both the game and the community similar to what the Firefly logo had done for the first game. A design engraved on a PlayStation wasn’t something that had been done before; it was a challenge that the team overcame, according to the statement.

As for the gameplay of TLOU2, Push Square reported that Naughty Dog has finally revealed more details through a video that it launched on its YouTube channel. The gameplay, as well as the inspirations for the game’s design team, was explored in the latest video.

The team at Naughty Dog shared their thoughts about the game mechanics, where Ellie could move faster and be nimbler than guys like Joel, for instance. Moving around is easier, but fighting enemies that are bigger and more powerful than her is going to be more challenging.

There were other features that were teased, such as the environment and how combat will happen in those places. The story and dialogue were fully discussed, and it was also revealed that the upgrades for Ellie wouldn’t be received in just one playthrough.

“The Last of Us 2” had been one of the most awaited games of the year, prior to the worldwide spread of the novel coronavirus.
