Although the COVID-19 pandemic has given people around the world more time to spend with their families, Liam Payne admitted it has been difficult to see his son Bear.

The “Naughty List” singer opened up to fans during an Instagram Live session about some of the troubles he’s been having when it comes to co-parenting Bear with his ex Cheryl Cole.

“I went and saw Bear today we had a little hangout, which was nice as I hadn’t seen him in a couple of weeks,” Payne explained.

“It’s hard with the COVID thing as I have to make sure I’m negative before I go over and see him so it’s having to wait that couple of days before you can test so… He’s only up the street, and it’s dead complicated, but he’s gotten so big, huge.”

Payne previously admitted that his former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson has been helping him get through some of his hardest days amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“I was actually just on the phone to Louis, who I haven’t spoken to in a minute, which was quite nice,” the 27-year-old revealed during an Instagram Live session.

“I’ve been struggling with it a little bit. Louis has definitely been there for me over the past couple of weeks, which I’ve got to say thank you and … give him his due.”

Despite his struggles, Payne continues to focus on his music. On Saturday, the singer will perform in a livestream concert for fans.

The event will mark his last performance of eight select songs until he returns to making new music later this year.
