While the COVID-19 pandemic had its impact on the box office in 2021, there are some movies that successfully pulled the audience to the theaters.

In fact, the online streaming platforms, including Netflix, Disney+ and more, helped these movies to enter the list of highest-grossing movies in 2021.

No Time to Die

The action-adventure movie dropped in theaters on Sept. 30 with a budget of $250 million. The movie earned $708 million worldwide. "No Time To Die" marked Daniel Craig's exit as James Bond.

F9: The Fast Saga

"F9" was made with a budget of $200 million and it earned $721 million. The movie marked Cardi B's debut in the popular car racing franchise.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

The newly released "Spider-Man: No Way Home" was made with a budget of $200 million and within four days it has already earned $587 million. According to multiple reports, the movie will cross the record of "F9" and "No Time To Die."

Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Another Marvel movie on the list, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage," which was made with a $110 million budget, earned $498 million at the box office.

Godzilla vs. Kong

"Godzilla vs. Kong" was released on March 31 with a budget of $160 million and it earned $467 at the box office.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

The Asian superhero was introduced by Marvel in September. The "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" movie was made with a budget of $150 million and it gained $432 million.

Eternals

Marvel introduced a bunch of new superheroes with "Eternals," which was dropped in theaters on Nov. 5. The movie was made with a budget of $200 million and has earned $399 so far. As the movie is still in the theaters, the box office collection might increase.

Dune

The star-studded movie featuring Timothée Chalamet was a sci-fi adventure that was made with a budget of $165 million. The movie earned $393.2 million.

Black Widow

Despite the controversy surrounding "Black Widow," the superhero movie managed to earn $379 million while it was made with a budget of $200.

Free Guy

Ryan Reynolds' "Free Guy" was made with a budget of approximately $125 million and it earned $331 million at the box office.
