A large part of her defense is that she did not know that she had given bribes to USC to designate her daughters as false Crew recruits to the school, but a new claim states that Lori Loughlin may have been aware that something was about to happen just prior to her arrest for the College Admissions Scandal.

According to the Mercury News, the “Fuller House” actress contacted William “Rick” Singer one week prior to her March 2019 arrest to question why the records for her daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade, were being “subpoenaed by the government” and a call recorded by the FBI has her admitting she was worried that someone had learned her daughters gained admission to the school under false pretenses.

“I just find it so odd that both of our girls got subpoenaed,” Loughlin reportedly says on the call. “Like are they looking at wealthy families in California? I’m just so confused. And then I’m worried. Like are they going to try to take our girls out of USC?”

She also reportedly expressed concern over the guidance counselor at her daughters’ private school, Marymount High who had previously raised questions about how Olivia Jade had been accepted to USC as a crew recruit when she never participated in the sport before.

The recorded phone call and Loughlin’s alleged concern comes as she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, continue to prepare for their October trial date for the several charges they have been facing since their original indictment. The couple faces charges of money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and honest services fraud and conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery.

They, as well as other defendants who are still awaiting trial, have filed motions for the charges against them to be dismissed with claims the prosecutors exhibited “extraordinary” misconduct, specifically by concealing evidence that Singer was reportedly “bullied” into stating the parents knew their alleged donations were bribes.
