  • Burglars smashed a bedroom window at Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli's Los Angeles home to make their way inside
  • Loughlin, her husband and their daughters were not home when the break-in occurred on Jan. 3
  • A rep for the "Full House" alum said no one was hurt during the incident

Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were victims of a home burglary earlier this month.

The "Full House" alum, 57, and the 58-year-old designer's Los Angeles home was hit by burglars on Jan. 3, a representative for the actress confirmed to People.

Thieves stole $1 million worth of Loughlin's jewelry, according to TMZ, which was first to report the incident Saturday.

The burglars smashed a bedroom window at their home to make their way inside, unnamed law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Police obtained surveillance footage of the incident, and it showed that the thieves were dressed in all black, wore masks and stole Loughlin's jewelry box containing incredibly expensive items.

Loughlin, Giannulli and their daughters Bella, 23, and Olivia Jade, 22, were not home at the time of the break-in, the actress' rep said. The incident was discovered by a housekeeper, according to TMZ.

It is unclear if Loughlin and Giannulli were specifically targeted or if this was a random burglary. Police suspect that a South American burglary crew had broken into the couple's home, TMZ reported. The group allegedly travels to the U.S., hits certain locations and then quickly leaves the country.

Loughlin's rep said in a statement to TMZ that no one was hurt in the incident. According to the actress' spokesperson, Bob Saget's death helped put the incident in perspective for her and helped her realize that "family and love" are the most important things in life.

While none of her loved ones were hurt, the burglary still left Loughlin feeling disturbed and unsafe, an unnamed source told Us Weekly.

"The family wasn’t at home when the intruders broke in, but Lori still feels violated by what happened," the insider shared. "It was a very emotional day for her."

Days before the burglary made headlines, the "When Calls the Heart" star opened up about the loss of her former "Full House" co-star, Saget. The actor was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, on Jan. 9 while on his 2022 comedy tour. He was 65.

"Words cannot begin to express how devastated I am," Loughlin told Us Weekly Monday. "Bob was more than my friend; he was my family. I will miss his kind heart and quick wit. Thank you for a lifetime of wonderful memories and laughter. I love you, Bobby."

Saget was laid to rest Friday in a private memorial service in Los Angeles. Loughlin and Giannulli were among the hundreds of people who attended his funeral at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills.

Other "Full House" cast members were also present, including John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Dave Coulier and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
