Things may seem better on screen, but off screen, it looks like Yandy Smith is still fighting with Mendeecees’ baby mothers.

It’s no secret that Yandy does not get along with her partner Mendeecees Harris’ baby mothers Samantha Wallace and Erika DeShazo. The two women have kept their sons away from the son and daughter Yandy and Mendeecees share together which inspired the reality star to write a book about coming to terms with their situation for the sake of the children.

After Monday’s episode of “Love and Hip Hop: New York” Season 7 aired, it looked like the baby mothers were on good terms, but the ordeal of the ongoing issues caused Yandy to write a book about dealing with situations similar to hers.

The VH1 star shared a glimpse of her upcoming book with her Instagram followers on Tuesday morning. Yandy explained that nowadays families are very different compared to the traditional ideals of what they are expected to be and many parents find themselves having awkward conversations with their children.

“For me, that challenge came when it was time to sit down with my 2-year-old son and explain that his siblings may not be present at his birthday party,” Yandy wrote in the author’s note of her book.

The purpose of the book is to act as “a tool for parents to use when explaining the concept of blended families and why all members of the family may not live together or be together at all times.”

Although it seems like the women are still at odds, Yandy admitted that the children’s book has helped her while dealing with Samantha and Erika’s drama and hopes it will help other blended families that are dealing with similar situations.
