"Love Island" Season 2 winners Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew are optimistic that their relationship will survive in the real world as they take their time in getting to know each other.

The U.S. version of the British reality show saw 11 singles living in a villa on top of The Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas while they try to find their soulmate. Justine and Caleb were favorites to win the show, and throughout the season, they received praise from fans for their authentic take on romance.

Caleb, a 24-year-old IT sales consultant from Oklahoma City, told Entertainment Tonight that it was the realization that Justine wouldn’t settle for anything other than genuine love that convinced him to give their relationship an honest shot.

Although he came on to the show to find a partner with whom he could share a genuine connection, there were times when he was doubtful this would happen on "Love Island."

"There was a conversation that her and I had after a week or so together, where she told me, 'What are you in this for?' And I could see in that conversation that she was 100% in this for love and to know that nothing else going on around us was influencing her decisions as far as how to act, because she wanted true, genuine, authentic love," Caleb recalled.

"I was already starting to like her at that point and I was like, 'OK, I don't want to break her precious heart.' So I need to really be all invested in our relationship and it has totally paid off," he added.

Justine, a 27-year-old fulltime billing coordinator and part-time go-go dancer, added that winning the reality show has not changed anything between them.

"We're still taking our time out here as well," she told the publication. "We didn't let winning and making it to the end change anything between us, which is why we were able to share how we felt about each other but still not rush to put a title on things even though I think we are there."

Shortly after the "Love Island" Season 2 finale, fans took to Twitter to show their support for Justine and Caleb.

"We all need and deserve that Justine and Caleb kinda love," one wrote.

"Jaleb made me realise I am ready for a love thats as authentic and meaningful as theirs. I demand the best for my heart. Thank you Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew. You have healed me. Thank you," another netizen posted.
