“Lucifer” Season 5 will have a musical episode and Lesley-Ann Brandt will get in on the action too. The Maze actress shared a behind-the-scenes video on social media that shows her practicing some dance moves at the production set.

Brandt took to Twitter to announce that the DVD of Season 4 is now available for purchase and in the same post she shared a clip of her practicing for the upcoming musical episode. She wore black top and red pants in the video while someone off screen helped her with the music.

The musical episode will be set in an alternative universe, ET Online reported. The entire episode will be in black and white and it will have a 1940s noir look. Maze will be seen singing and dancing next to the Devil (Tom Ellis).

It isn’t clear what song the duo will sing and dance to, but it is revealed to be a classic of the 40s. Ellis teased that the episode will be about taking a “trip down memory lane.” The plot of the “Lucifer” Season 5 musical episode is about answering a question that many of the fans have been asking, according to Ellis.

Taking the story to an alternative universe has given the writers a chance to explore new dimensions of each one of the main characters. Ellis said that the fans will get to see the characters “in a different light.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 10th episode of the season will be the musical episode. The title has been revealed to be “ Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam.”

The cast members had a lot of fun filming the musical, but there was a reason why the showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson decided to do the episode now. The producers wanted to do a musical only because the story had a “real grounded” reason that demanded a musical. Modrovich teased that the episode is going to be “amazing.”

“Lucifer” Season 5 is set t be released later this year. The producers are yet to announce a release date. The title of the premiere episode is “Really Sad Devil Guy.”
