Luis Suarez has found a new home and it appears the decision to join Atletic Madrid proved to be a good move. After failing to seal a deal with Juventus FC, the Uruguayan football player was elated with the new challenge, scoring twice as Los Indios won over Granada 6-1.

Suarez got his first piece of action with Atleti in the 70th minute with the club already up 3-0 courtesy of goals coming from Diego Costa, Angel Correa and Joao Felix. Suarez netted a double and even issued an assist to Marcos Llorente. Without question the 33-year-old striker proved he can still play when given the chance, Goal reported.

"Sometimes it is important to have a change as a player," Suarez said, BBC reported. "I've come to a club that has given me a spectacular welcome, it shows in the atmosphere, you get a good impression from the beginning, and you can see that on the pitch."

Suarez was deemed surplus by FC Barcelona after Ronald Koeman took over and initiated the Catalan giant's overhaul. Juventus was the first team linked to the Uruguayan and appeared to be set for Allianz Stadium at one point. However, Juve ended up signing Edin Dzeko, which lowered Suarez's chances of going there.

Suarez even took an Italian language exam to facilitate the acquisition of an Italian passport. But things just went awry. That bid for Italian citizenship has now raised claims of the exams possibly being rigged, The New York Times reported.

But the win over Granada was not all about Suarez. Felix had an impressive showing and Los Indios is understandably on a high right now.

"We're feeling good about ourselves. We've completed a great game, scoring many goals and creating lots of chances," Felix said. "We have to continue like this. I'm feeling good. I'm happy and enjoying myself. Things are going well."

But while Atleti is savoring the moment, Granada is taking legal action against one of its sponsors following a disrespectful tweet.

Winamax Deportes posted a tweet showing a heat map with a shape that resembled a penis at one end and buttocks at the other. Though it was removed, Granada FC is demanding an apology, ESPN reported.
