Maddie Ziegler is this year’s Choice Dancer! The “Dance Moms” alum walked away with the toe-tapping honor at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards Sunday.

While the 13-year-old was not given the chance to voice an acceptance speech at The Forum in Los Angeles, she did get a chance to shine at the ceremony. After being confirmed as 2016’s Choice Dancer, Maddie appeared alongside her “So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation” co-star Cat Deeley in a skit for the award show, judging hosts Victoria Justice and John Cena on their dancing skills. After telling the co-hosts they need some work, she helped introduce the Fox show’s finalists’ hip-hop number.

Despite not being able to thank her fans for her win on TV, Maddie did give her voters a shout-out on Twitter and Instagram Sunday night. Sharing a photo of herself posing with her surfboard trophy, Maddie admitted she was “overwhelmed” by the support. A backstage photo from the press room also showed Maddie kissing her surfboard award.

This was Maddie’s second Choice Dancer nomination. She was recognized for the same honor last year, but the win went to her former “Dance Moms” co-star Chloe Lukasiak. Chloe was also nominated for the 2016 show. Kalani Hilliker, the only current star of “Dance Moms,” was also among the 2016 nominees as well as Derek Hough and Julianne Hough of “Dancing With the Stars” fame and ballerina Misty Copeland.
