Cristiano Ronaldo is currently dead set on bringing Portugal to World Cup glory as their side has locked in their spot in the Round of 16 after a 2-0 victory against Uruguay.

While everyone is ecstatic about Portugal's progress in the global soccer tournament, Ronaldo's future in club soccer is currently in disarray.

Manchester United recently announced that they had mutually agreed with Ronaldo to leave the club after the Portuguese superstar had his explosive tell-all interview with Piers Morgan that shocked the sports world.

With Ronaldo out of Old Trafford, he is currently without a team once the 2022 World Cup comes to an end.

However, one is hoping he makes his way Stateside.

Former USA national team player and current Major League Soccer (MLS) executive Jeff Agoos revealed to Insider that he is hoping Ronaldo considers having conversations with some of the teams in the coming days.

"We've had players like David Beckham and [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, but having someone with the quality of Ronaldo would certainly be something that we would have a lot of interest in," Agoos said in the exclusive interview.

"A lot of things can happen, but we'd be excited to have Cristiano Ronaldo."

Ronaldo had burned all the bridges that he had left with Manchester United thanks to the aforementioned interview that he had where he blasted the club and even manager Erik ten Hag.

However, it appears that his only beef with the club is with those in charge at Old Trafford as he is still getting along swimmingly with international teammate and occasional Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.

Ronaldo and Fernandes have been starring for Portugal in the World Cup, especially in their victory over Uruguay.

Fernandes, in particular, has shown nothing but love for Ronaldo amidst their World Cup run as he thought that the all-time great forward had headed in his cross in the opening moments.

However, it was later ruled that Ronaldo did not have any involvement in the goal–a moment that would have tied him with soccer great and Portugal icon Eusebio.

"I celebrated [the goal] as if it had been Cristiano's goal. It seemed to me that he had touched the ball. My aim was to cross the ball for him. We are happy with the victory regardless of who scored," Fernandes said.

As Ronaldo's team enters the Round of 16, the soccer world will be watching closely where he decides to sign after leaving Manchester United for the second time in his career.
