A Maryland man has been charged for allegedly killing three people, including his pharmacist brother, following a confrontation because he believed the government is “poisoning people with COVID vaccines.”

Jeffrey Burnham, 46, from Cumberland has been charged with first-degree murder for the alleged murder of Rebecca Reynolds, 83. He is also facing second-degree murder charges for shooting his brother Brian Robinette, 58, and sister-in-law Kelly Sue Robinette, 57, as well as a handgun charge.

According to the charging document filed Wednesday, Burnham told his mother that he wanted to confront his older brother about the government allegedly poisoning people through the COVID-19 vaccine. “Brian knows something!” Burnham said to his mother, WJZ reported.

Burnham’s mother, Evelyn called the Cumberland Police Department twice stating that she was concerned about her son’s mental health and stability after he made statements about the FBI “being after” them. Evelyn called the police again on Sept. 30 after Burnham referred to Reynolds' car during a conversation.

Burnham went to Reynolds’ house and allegedly stabbed her to death on Sept. 29. He then stole her car and drove to Ellicott City to confront his brother.

At the time of Evelyn’s call on Sept. 30, the cops had found Reynolds' body inside her home. She had a deep laceration across her neck and a pillow over her face. There were signs of struggle around the area where the victim's body was found, the police said. They also noted that Reynolds' car was missing, the Baltimore Sun reported.

While investigating Reynolds' death, Cumberland police contacted Howard County authorities with a search warrant for a residence in Ellicott City. As authorities entered the house, they found the Robinettes shot dead. Officers found multiple used 40-caliber bullet casings in the residence, according to WJZ.

After the shooting, Burnham reportedly took Brian’s red Corvette car. Officers found Reynolds' car abandoned less than a mile from Robinettes’ residence.

Later, Maryland State Police received a tip from a person who said Burnham stopped by their house in a red Corvette around 4:45 p.m. on Sept. 30 and asked for gas money. The suspect told the tipster that his brother was “killing people with the COVID shot” and that they would see Burnham on TV.

Burnham was arrested in West Virginia on Oct. 1 after he flagged down a firefighter and told them that he was “forced to kill three people.” He was extradited to Maryland Tuesday. Officers found 40-caliber ammunition and a handgun in his Cumberland residence.

Burnham is being held without bond in Allegany County.
