Orange County, Florida -- A woman was raped by a man she met at a bar at a Disney resort in Florida. The 49-year-old accused was arrested and charged for the assault that was captured by security cameras over the Fourth of July weekend.

The victim told Orange County deputies that she decided to go to a bar at Disney’s Dolphin Resort, where the accused man, Eyvor Gomez, approached her and the two started talking, as per the arrest affidavit, ClickOrlando.com reported.

As the bar closed for the night, Gomez suggested moving outside so they could keep drinking. He allegedly told the woman he had his own alcohol and they could drink it at a spot where cameras wouldn’t see them, deputies said.

The two were at a corner near a glass wall and bushes when Gomez began making advances at her, according to the victim’s account. Gomez pushed her against a wall after the woman got upset and swore at him.

The woman hit her head and said she then blacked out, WFTV Channel 9 reported.

She told deputies that she later remembered her skirt being at her ankles while Gomez raped her, and added that she kept her eyes shut because she was scared Gomez would kill her.

The surveillance footage that captured the assault showed the victim trying to crawl away from Gomez, but he continued forcing himself on her, the investigators said. He also took a picture of her with his phone during the sexual assault.

“How did I end up like this?” the woman reportedly asked when he stopped.

“I don’t know. You just ended up like that,” Gomez allegedly replied.

Following the rape, the woman pretended to be fine and began walking back to the resort with Gomez, the affidavit said. The victim managed to distance herself from Gomez at some point and sat with a group of strangers inside the resort so he would leave her alone.

Disney security later identified Gomez for some issue that occurred between him and his wife.

Deputies arrested the accused Monday and booked him into the Orange County Jail following the incident at the Disney World resort. Records state that he initially denied having any contact with the victim. He later claimed they kissed consensually but denied allegations of him forcing himself on the victim.

Gomez was charged with sexual battery in connection with the incident.
