KEY POINTS

  • Perdro Pascal's character will fight Moff Gideon in the next episode of "The Mandalorian"
  • The fight will be about Baby Yoda
  • Baby Yoda may be used in the resurrection of Palpatine

Pedro Pascal’s character will face his biggest enemy in “The Mandalorian” episode 8. This is the finale episode of the first season, and it will be about the last fight for the future of Baby Yoda.

According to the short synopsis of the next episode, the gunfighter will come face-to-face with an unexpected enemy. The previous episode introduced the new villain Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), who used to be the governor under the former Empire and has now turned into a regional warlord.

The gunfighter was facing a seemingly impossible situation. He was last seen pinned down by too many Stormtroopers and Baby Yoda too was captured. It remains to be seen if the young character will continue to be a part of the bounty hunters adventures after episode 8.

Baby Yoda is not only a significant character in the TV series, but it also has an impact on the main “Star Wars” saga and specifically “The Rise of Skywalker.” The character uses a new Force ability that is about healing, something that is prominently featured in the movie.

According to a theory by Entertainment Weekly, Moff Gideon is desperately seeking Baby Yoda in “The Mandalorian” because it may be used in the resurrection of Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid). The character’s healing abilities, strong Force powers that can be absorbed, and the genetic material that helps him age slowly can all play a role in bringing back the Sith Lord.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Sith have been working on the cloning technology on their secret world of Exegol to perfect the art of stopping death. Palpatine even mentioned this dark art in the prequel trilogy when he spoke about Darth Plagueis.

Will Moff Gideon take Baby Yoda to Exegol? According to Screen Rant, the TV series will help in filling the gaps in the movies, which may include the mystery about how Palpatine came back.

“The Mandaorian” episode 8 will be released on Dec. 27 on Disney+.
