Mardi Gras Livestream On iOS: How To Watch The Bourbon Street Celebration On iPhone And iPad

Known around the world by different names -- Carnival, Fat Tuesday, Shrove Tuesday, or, perhaps the most recognizable, Mardi Gras -- the Tuesday before Lent is a celebration infamous for debauchery and sexual freedom. Thousands flock to New Orleans to enjoy the raucous celebration. Synonymous with revelry and alcohol, Bourbon Street will be packed with partygoers, cheering loudly into the crowd. The festivities can be viewed from three cameras: Cats Meow Karaoke, Bourbon Street and Cats Meow Balcony. New Orleans’ Cats Meow, advertised as “the world’s best karaoke bar,” sits at the corner of St. Peter and Bourbon streets, perfect for the webcams to capture the Mardi Gras parade and all of the revelry that Tuesday night will provide.

When connected, the cameras will take you to the party. “Our first camera let’s [sic] you enter the famous Cat’s Meow and enjoy karaoke Mardi Gras style,” states the app's description. While karaoke is known to be famous for allowing people to sing their favorite songs, this camera only brings you to the inside of the bar. You’ll have to have a karaoke machine of your own if you want to take part in the singing. However, the other two cameras may provide a better view of the party.

Bourbon Street and the balcony from Cats Meow will provide viewers the best angle on the merriment. “The second camera gives you the rare opportunity to catch the partygoers on crowded Bourbon Street as ‘the royalty’ showers them with beads and trinkets,” EarthCam states. The third camera shows the entire event from a “birds-eye view.”
