A marine had to miss his brother’s wedding but delivered the best man speech from inside the cockpit of a Harrier jet while flying over Afghanistan.

Capt. Matthew Krivohlavy with Marine Attack Squadron 231 delivered the speech through a series of flash cards, reports Daily Mail. Krivohlavy could not make his brother Brandon’s wedding over the weekend but sent out a special message wishing him the best of luck for the future.

Krivohlavy addresses Brandon and Mandy saying, “I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am for the both of you,” while also mentioning how he wished he could be at their wedding. Krivohlavy says Mandy is “very beautiful and exceptionally sweet. You are a perfect match for my brother.” Unfortunately the marine does not have any embarrassing moments to share but says Brandon has been a great brother. Krivohlavy said: “It pains me that we live so far away and hardly see each other,” but upon meeting Mandy in Austin, he understands his brother’s choice, he says.

While wishing much success for the couple, Krivohlavy offers a few words of advice, saying, “Just remember, marriage is a journey. There will be ups and downs, so make the best of it and go nuts together!” Closing the touching tribute to his brother, Krivohlavy proceeds to do a barrel roll and waves goodbye.

Brandon posted the video to Reddit and it has received more than 1,200 comments. Brandon said, “He surprised us with this very heartfelt video he made from the cockpit of his harrier,” Brandon continued. “Everyone in the room was either crying or completely speechless. It was a very moving moment for everyone there.”
