Mario Testino, a fashion and lifestyle photographer, told stories of his experiences documenting the British royals for four generations. He specially mentioned of an impressive "energy" and "solid" relationship between the duke and duchess of Cambridge.

"Photographing Princess Charlotte's christening was an amazing experience," Mario said in a statement. “What impressed me the most was the energy of the family, and of that between the duke and duchess. One sees how solid they are together and one gets a sense of their strong family values." The statement was released on the same day as the official portraits of Princess Charlotte’s christening, E! Online reported.

The Peruvian-born, London-based photographer has documented four generations of the British royal family, starting when Princess Diana engaged him in 1997 for a “Vanity Fair” event. Testino also said that he was overwhelmed and honored to be chosen to document such another remarkable event for the royal family.

Four christening photos were officially released by the Kensington Palace through the official website and several of its social media sites. In the released portraits, there were two close-up pictures of the duke and duchess of Cambridge with their children – one was a black-and-white photo of Prince William carrying Prince George in the garden at Sandringham House, while the other featured the duchess carrying the newly christened Princess Charlotte in the royal christening gown. Another photo was released featuring the royal line-up together with the Middletons.

While the British Princess was seen wearing the original christening gown, the same Prince George wore in his baptism, the royal baby was pushed to Church in a coach-built pram, according to the Daily Mail. Apparently, the royal heirloom has long been in the royal family. It was reported that Queen Elizabeth II herself used it with her children, Prince Charles, Edward and Andrew.

In further news, Princess Charlotte’s godparents came from a pool of the duke and duchess’ non-royal circles, People reported. These people, chosen to nurture and guide the little princess are Tom van Straubenzee, James Meade, Sophie Carter, Laura Fellowes and Adam Middleton.

Princess Charlotte was baptized this Sunday as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana at Sandringham’s St. Mary Magdalene Church.
