Twitter is not happy with the latest WEtv's "Marriage Boot Camp" promotional clip.

In the 21-second clip of Thursday night's episode, Tahiry Jose, known from her time on "Love & Hip-Hop: New York," is in the middle of describing how people perceive her when her partner, Vado, violently lunges and grabs for her neck. The altercation is quickly de-escalated by the show's host Dr. Ish Major, who took to the social media platform to speak out against violence and explain what people were seeing.

"This is not ok y’all! Never. Ever," the psychiatrist tweeted. "I couldn’t believe it happened. Everybody froze. We’re going to do everything we can to make it right."

Despite Major's message, many people were appalled by what they saw and, of course, offered up their opinions on the situation.

While a lot of users placed most of the blame on Vado, one user felt that both of the reality stars needed to take responsibility for what happened.

"It's never ok to hit a woman however, women need to be held accountable for their actions," they replied. "I grew up in this violence so I understand better than anyone, but women are not innocent and they provoke knowing what the outcome will be, Tahiry needs to be single."

Another user seemed disappointed that no one else tried to assist in stopping the violence and seemed to insinuate that the situation could be worse behind closed doors.

"All those men sitting there and nobody intervened? and if he’s doing this in front of cameras...," the user tweeted.

Others accused "Marriage Boot Camp" of distastefully using the footage to lure in more viewers, however, Dr. Ish offered a different perspective.

"Why is this being used to promote the show? I hope it's not real....and if not this shouldn't be a story line. Stop exploiting people for profit. [Expletive] is sick," one person wrote, while another said, "It's not okay yet you're using it for promo. Foh. This show is trash."

Dr. Ish responded, "The way you defeat abuse is by shining a light on it...not by hiding it away and suffering silently with your shame."

"Marriage Boot Camp" is a show that places couples together in a home as they go through a series of exercises and therapy sessions to help them determine if their relationships are worth saving. By the end of their time on the show, the couples make a decision for their future.

On this season, alongside Tahiry and Vado, the couples appearing are Willie Taylor and Shanda Denyce (from Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood), Kurupt and Toni Calvert, Phaedra Parks (from The Real Housewives of Atlanta) and Medina Islam and Hazel E. (from Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood) and De'Von Walker.

"Marriage Boot Camp" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on WEtv.
