“Married at First Sight” Season 8 hasn’t been smooth sailing for Luke and Kate, and the wife has finally had enough. After their disastrous first anniversary last week, Kate realizes there’s only one option left. Check out all the drama that went down in episode 11 of the Lifetime reality show:

Kate and Luke

Kate goes to a friend to talk about Luke’s disappearance on their anniversary. She says that she feels like he never wants to spend his free time with her. “I know that divorce is an option, and my gut is kind of telling me that’s what I should do,” Kate admits. She cries as she says that she’s heartbroken about this.

Kate calls “Married at First Sight” relationship expert Dr. Jessica Griffin and says that she isn’t feeling great. Jessica says that the experts will support her if she decides divorce is the right option. “This is what I need to do,” Kate says.

Kate admits to the cameras that she didn’t see it ending this way because she was so hopeful. However, it’s so painful to be around Luke after all that has happened. Dr. Jessica knows Kate is emotionally involved, so she advises Kate to have an honest conversation with Luke.

Kate sits down with her husband to talk about wanting a divorce. She points out that his words and his actions are vastly different, and she admits she is thinking about a divorce. Luke says he doesn’t want that because he cares about Kate. “It needs to be done,” Kate says.

Luke wonders if Kate realizes he is attached. Kate says she knows that Luke isn’t into her and that she is hurt. Luke says he is concerned about Kate and the “hyperbole” she is using.

Kate tells the cameras that she sees through her husband’s act. “I feel like any sort of feelings that I may have developed towards him or thoughts about him being what I wanted in a husband were due to manipulation and not reality,” she says.

Luke is shocked. He claims to be oblivious to how badly Kate felt. He apologizes for their first week together and says he has been trying to “make the best of the situation.” Kate is offended by the phrase.

He thinks this all stems from just the first week when he said he was repulsed while kissing her, and he claims he doesn’t know how to get Kate to trust him or want to be a team with him (viewers, of course, know that Kate has been willing from the very beginning up until now).

Luke says there are things she does that he finds very attractive. Kate tells him to let her know when he’s actually feeling attracted to her. Luke apologizes and says he doesn’t want to get a divorce. Kate doesn’t seem sure about staying together, but they’re clearly not breaking up right now.

Stephanie and AJ

Dr. Jessica stops by and uses footage from the show to demonstrate instances where they’ve had good communication. However, other footage highlights some issues for the “Married at First Sight” couple. She points out AJ’s tendency to snap.

AJ gets defensive and says those aren’t really troublesome moments. He thinks the production adds more “mess” to the situation. He blames it all on the stress of the cameras and says that doesn’t affect their marriage at all.

Stephanie is asked how she feels when AJ gets upset. AJ interjects before Stephanie can answer though and clarifies that he is voicing their frustration, not just his. Dr. Jessica wants Stephanie to confront her husband and have her own voice heard.

Stephanie admits to the cameras that she’s putting off talking to AJ about Dr. Jessica’s session until she returns from a work trip.

When she comes back, she tells AJ that she could hit her breaking point eventually. AJ admits that he felt bad seeing the footage, and he knows he has to keep his wife in mind even when he is in a frustrating situation.

Jasmine and Will

These two have fun at a bowling alley, but when they stop to eat, they have a serious conversation about their future. Will talks about his five-year plan, and he wants to coach basketball. Jasmine thinks that’s unrealistic, and she worries about having money.

Will admits to his friends that he thinks Jasmine is more focused on money while he is more concerned about making an impact on kids.

They talk to Dr. Jessica about their differences. Jasmine wants Will to be the provider, but she says they’ve compromised. Jessica encourages them to know the difference between compromises and sacrifices. She suggests writing out their goals and values to be clear on what they believe and want for their future. This will help them avoid resenting each other.

Kristine and Keith

On a date night, Keith says he wants kids within five years, but Kristine doesn’t have babies on the brain yet. She has a lot that she wants to do in the next five years, but Keith doesn’t feel like he needs to finish anything else before having kids. He worries about being an old dad.

Kristine talks to a friend about Keith, and she can’t be sure about what would have happened if they met in a normal dating situation. He might not be the type of guy that she would have chosen for herself, but she knows she had trouble choosing the right guys for her. She says she thinks their relationship is heading in an “upward” direction.
