Amazon is showing more confidence in its top-rated comedy “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” by ordering another season. The Emmy-winning series is coming back for a fourth season, just days after the third installment dropped on Amazon.

Deadline reported that the Golden Globe-winning comedy has been renewed. “'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' has been a worldwide phenomenon, and Season 3 has been no exception, with the series’ most-watched opening weekend ever,” Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios, said in a statement. “We’re so happy that our Prime Video customers will get to see Midge’s story continue in Season 4.”

Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel Palladino, who served as EP on the show, shared their excitement in a statement regarding the show’s pickup. “We were thrilled to hear that for the fourth time, we do not have to pack up and vacate the premises. We’d like to thank Amazon for all their faith and support, their partnership and enthusiasm, and for letting us hang with our favorite people, the cast and crew of 'Maisel,' for a little while longer.”

Since the show first released in 2017, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” has received critical acclaim and numerous awards. The program also won three Golden Globes in its lifetime and was just nominated for two more, including Best TV Series - Musical or Comedy and Best Actress in a Television Series- Musical or Comedy for lead actress Rachel Brosnahan. It also received 16 Emmy Awards and 34 nominations.

The third season of the series was released on Dec. 6 and follows Midge (Brosnahan) and her manager Susie Myerson (Alex Borstein) as they go on a comedy tour with Shy Baldwin (Leroy McClain) and learn the inner-workings of the comedy business.

No episode count or release date has been given for the fourth season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” just yet.
