Matthew Tyler Vorce has confirmed that he and Billie Eilish have broken up. The actor took to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday to confirm the end of their relationship and respond to fans accusing him of cheating on the Grammy-winning singer.

Sharing a poster of A24's film "Men," Vorce wrote, "The fact that thousands of people take time out of their day to write the most heinous things on someone they will never know posts is the most cowardly thing you can possibly do. Live your life."

He also refuted the claims that he cheated on his ex-girlfriend, telling those who were posting accusatory comments against him that it's not good to lie on the internet. "Nobody cheated on anyone," he wrote. "Relationships end. Simple as that. Creating rumors and LYING on the internet is dangerous."

Eilish and Vorce first sparked relationship rumors in April 2021, when PageSix published photos of the pair having a coffee date and cozying up to each other while the singer was on a vacation in Santa Barbara, California. The pictures showed Eilish wrapped in Vorce's arms with her head resting on his shoulder.

As Vorce underwent scrutiny from Eilish's fans, he came under fire for his past social media posts expressing racist and discriminatory views about the members of the LGBTQ+ community. In June 2021, he addressed the criticism and issued a public apology through an Instagram Story.

"I want to apologize for the things that I wrote on social media in the past. The language I used was hurtful and irresponsible and I understand how offensive those words are," he wrote. "Whether it was a lyric, a quote or just me being dumb, it does not matter. I am ashamed and deeply sorry that I used them in any context."

"It is not how I was raised and it is not what I stand for. I shouldn't have used this language in the first place and I won't use it again. I am so sorry for the hurt I have caused," he continued.

Eilish, who previously dated singer 7:AMP, has yet to comment on the breakup.
