Along with no grand prize winners, there were also no instant millionaires following the latest Mega Millions drawing. Players who would have hit the Match 5 would have a $1 million prize. If a player would have hit the Match 5 with the Megaplier, they would have won $3 million.

There were also a few smaller monetary prizes that resulted from the night. There were three Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball players that won $10,000 apiece. However, there were no ticket holders who played with a Megaplier purchase and missed out on the chance of winning $30,000.

The next Mega Millions drawing will take place on Friday at 11 p.m. ET and will be worth an estimated $22 million with a cash option of $12.9 million.

The latest drawing comes after a ticket holder in Tennessee won the April 15 jackpot, which was worth $20 million with a cash value of $11.9 million.

The latest Mega Millions jackpot win took place days after a player hit the April 12 jackpot for $110 million in Minnesota.

The two wins mark the first time since July 2016 that jackpots have been won in consecutive drawings. The $20 million prize was also the second time Tennessee has hit the Mega Millions jackpot. The state snagged its first win in a 2014 drawing.

Mega Millions winners can receive their grand prize winnings through either a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity. Those who select the annuity receive one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
