There were two instant millionaires from the night that hit the Match 5, winning $1 million each. If the players would have matched the five numbers with the Megaplier, they would have won $3 million apiece.

While a player from Illinois and another from Maryland were lucky enough to win $1 million, there were also smaller monetary prizes that resulted from the night.

There were eight Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball players that won $10,000. Meanwhile, four ticket holders won the Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball with the Megaplier, winning $30,00 each. Other prizes from the night ranged between $2 and $1,500.

The next Mega Millions drawing will take place on Friday and will be worth an estimated $157 million with a cash option of $92.5 million.

The latest drawing comes after a man from Michigan won $1 million after buying a Mega Millions ticket in Massachusetts.

Daniel Sieloff, of Lenox, Michigan, purchased the ticket at a Nouria Energy gas station in Kingston while he was in the area for Mother’s Day weekend. After taxes, Sieloff will take home $710,000 and plans to use some of the money to pay for a family vacation.

Jackpot winners can receive their grand prize winnings through either a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity. Those who opt for the annuity receive one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
