Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Sarah Ferguson looked very different before they became royals.

All four women led very normal lives before they met their counterparts. Hello! magazine recently compiled photos of the four female royals to show fans how much their appearances have changed since joining the royal family.

Markle’s first photo showed the Duchess of Sussex wearing a black long-sleeved jacket, black top, and jeans during an engagement at the Ritz Carlton. Markle’s hair is tied in her signature bun, but it is evident how unflattering her makeup looked on her in the past.

When she joined the royal family, Markle looked even more stunning. She also got to wear brands that she has never worn before. Last week, she stepped out at the Cirque du Soleil with Prince Harry and wowed the crowds with how gorgeous she looked in her black and blue gown.

Middleton used to be a fan of wearing pants. During one outing, the Duchess of Cambridge was photographed wearing a cowboy hat complete with her cowboy boots. When she joined the royal family in 2011, she became even more stylish.

These days, Prince William’s wife is usually seen wearing dresses but there are still some instances wherein she would wear jeans or slacks.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, is the wife of Prince Edward. Prior to their nuptials, she was known as Sophie Rhys-Jones. She worked at various public relations agencies including four years at Capital Radio. She, later on, set up her own firm RJH Public Relationship.

The mom of two was photographed wearing above the knee skirts and dresses before she joined the royal family. But after her wedding, she became more sophisticated and started wearing longer dresses and skirts.

Ferguson’s style before marrying Prince Andrew was quite rugged. In one outing, she was photographed wearing casual ski gear. After marrying Prince Andrew, Ferguson learned how to look classier than before. She maintained the same sense of style even after her marriage fell apart.
